A mufti day on Thursday, 28 January on Dover Campus raised S$13,130 for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. The entire UWCSEA community, including Grade 12’s doing their mock examinations, supported this worthwhile cause. A Grade 8 class held a bakesale which raised S$311 for the cause.
The crazy hair mufti day on East Campus the following day, on Friday, 29 January raised $2308.00 in donations from all parts of the community, and a further $894 in sales from bake stalls run by the Student Council at the Family Breakfast before school, morning break and lunch time.
The generosity of all sections of the UWCSEA community will go a long way. The final amount sent to Partners in Health will be over S$16,300.
